PP for NWA Piranha Fx

Post by Kurt_WI »

Just getting started with PVC. The Post Processor files for my Next Wave Automation Piranha Fx needed to be added to the software drivers which I had done. Downloaded the files, both arc and laser from the NWA site and copied them in. Upon starting the software now, I get two errors for the two drivers I just installed. The Attachment shows the error.

Thoughts? Ideas?

Thanks, Kurt

Hello Kurt,

The Piranha post processors that you have downloaded from the Next Wave site
are not ones written for PhotoVCarve, I am afraid.
If you could please drop us an email to support, we can sort some out for you.

stewali,

My colleague Adam sent you some PhotoVCarve post processors for use with the CNC Shark on March 15th.
Could Adam's reply have been caught in your junk email folder?

Please drop us an email to support if you need us to resend these.

I hope that this helps.

Cheers,

Mark.

I spoke to NWA tech support via phone this past week and got some answers.

1. Use the CNC Shark post processor if using the router and bits to create the image.
2. If wanting to use the laser, you need to download the Piranha control panel and connect to the control box via USB-Printer cable if working from PVC.

The PVC file can be saved and then imported into Vcarve and used as well from that program.

I'm in the process of testing things out now.

What will matter is not what you bought but what you built; not what you got, but what you gave
