What kind of tool is best for photovcarve ? I'm just starting this CNC hobby and all tips are welcome.
If you have pictures of tools what you use, it would be great. Because I'm just really amateur with terms...
And of course I'm intrest how different setups work in program.
Tnx

This tutorial uses a 1/4" 60° V-bit: ->Tutorial
Centurion makes a good version of that bit: ->Centurion 1/4" 60° V-bit

I've learned my lesson well. You can't please everyone,so you have to please yourself

Randall,
Do you have any recommended feed speeds for the Centurion V cutters? I visited their shop today, bought a couple of bits, but Fred says that they cut a little different than normal cutters, so I should experiment with different feeds or as others who have been using them a while.
Any advice is appreciated!

Re: Tool for photoVcarve
I have had good luck with one eighth ball nose. They are available on eBay for the price of ten bits for fifteen dollars. I set my spacing at six percent. A have friends wo use v bit's and set spacing to 100 %. They cut pictures very fast compared to my method. both work but give unite different results.

I usually use a 1/32 tapered ballnose with spacing around 18%
Of note, you need to manually type in spacing, you can't select it ... And also, make sure to check the box "invert light/dark areas" else your vcarve will turn out like a negative.
