third litho-so much better!!

Post by drrobin »

I just finished my third litho and, because of this forum tried another approach to tooling it. I was blown away by the difference! It is so much better and I know it's not because I have so much experience:=) but because of all the help here. So, I wanted to share a snapshot of the litho-not as good as in person, but still shows the quality. Of course quality takes time.... 6 hours for a 5x7. These cute little girls are my great nieces. I also added the names in the pics because I wanted to see how they would cut. In watching, it added a lot of time cutting around them but would be doable:) Thanks again for everyone's help.

Nice indeed, and very cute kids.

Share what you did different, might help others going down the same path.
Now you got to set your mind to making a light box, lots of options there as well.

Absolutely! Actually I decided to give this a try: http://forum.vectric.com/viewtopic.php? ... it#p144943 (If this link doesn't work, search litho using ball nose bit)

I used a liner bit but told the computer it was a .031 ballnose. I made sure I had at least 1,000 lines (I think it was 9%), made one pass with a 45 degree angle. Cut to .2

I want to make a light box and that's on my list but here's the pic in a shadow box with the lights recommended on this forum! I tried the little battery operated ones, but there is no comparison so I ordered the strip lights-didn't have any idea what I was doing but was successful:-)!!
