Attempting my first PVC on wood and have heard different ideas on how to do it. I've heard stain the board black then carve, I've heard carve the piece then wipe on some kind of black shoe cream wipe off then clearcoat. One other was carve stain medium then lightly sand entire piece to get shadow lines. Would appreciate some skilled opinions please.
