Finishing technique for Medium Density Fiber Board

Hello Everyone,

Could someone point me in the right direction for finishing my Photo Vcarved image? Material is MDF, surface sealed with laquer, then photo v carved. From here I usually just use a shoe polish cream, and then wipe off. No sanding needed. Are there any other shoe cream substitutes? I like the cream because of its greasy nature(wipes off easily), but would like to find something more cost effective for doing large images. Any ideas? Thanks, Marc
