PhotoVCarve & VCarveWizard combined

Post by Warren »

A mix of PhotoVCarve and VCarve Wizard.

My 1st commission from a couple of weeks ago.
Customer wanted a wall hanging picture of her daughter and granddaughter.
After photocarving picture I thought it needed something extra.
I then added a frame and a little detail with VCarve. Just a few calculations and that was it.
Nothing really special but the customer really loved it. (Shed a few tears)

Warren,
Very nice picture and frame. Looks great. What type of material was it cut into? How did you finish it? I'm still getting my finishing technique down. Always looking for a better way.

Hi Damian,

My picture of Daughter and Granddaughter was cut into 19mm Melamine Faced, Medium Density Fibreboard. (MF MDF)
After cutting, the natural finish of the MDF contrasted so well against the satin white face of the Melamine, I decided not to apply any finish at all.

Regards,
Warren.
