Neat idea Ted:)

I think you ought to stick a #4 caveat in there though.
Must be Made by the Badge wearer.

Get more people into Tiny work.....
BUT IF #4 isn't there...I know a guy that does fairly good custom small stuff in Bloodwood :D :D
I've learned my lesson well. You can't please everyone,so you have to please yourself

WNC_Ed wrote:Thinking about what Michael suggested here:
TIP: If you are a Forum Member, write your Forum Username boldly on your Name Tag. It’s a great way to “connect” with people you may know only by their username!
And knowing that the forum users are some very clever folk. I was wondering if it wouldn't be fun to have an unofficial, just for fun "contest" to make "the coolest" name tag on the CNC to be worn at the User Group Meeting?

Now this will be my first User Group Meeting so maybe I am being bold in suggesting this but it does seem like it would be fun.

Suggested rules:
1) Name badge must be primarily made on the CNC using Aspire.
2) Badge must have your Forum "handle" and your real name - or - the alias you go by.
3) Must be worn at the Meeting

1st Prize - bragging rights on the forum for a year!

I have included a sample idea for inspiration. This one would be worn like a neckless

This is a fantastic idea. We would love to see some of the cool idea's you all come up with.

As the User Group Meeting is open to anyone with Vectric software it would be good to open up to the competition to all attendees including Cut2D and VCarve users.

Great idea. Thanks for your suggestion :)

Stephanie, oops - Great point - didn't mean to leave anyone out.
does fairly good custom small stuff
Scott, understatement of the day!

I would suggest that the wearer should do the design work themselves, of course using Vectric clipart and or Design & Make should be encouraged.

I am not setting any rules, just tossing out suggestions

As for me:
Game on.
Safety off.
Let the cutting chips fall where they may.
Maker of sawdust

Is there a benefit to staying at the Embassy Suites? Curious as I have points for a competing chain and get in free.

Chicago, now Denver? When are you folks gonna make it past the Mid-West and visit the southeast? What a treat this would be but most events like this make it to the Mid-West.

Since I am new as of 2018 and most likely hunkered down with back up power, I missed it.
OK, well we need a do-over. What about regional yearly events?

I believe the dates for the last 3 years are usually around October 11 and 12. Is there anyway to move next year’s date up or back a week? I would love to attend, but I have an annual Masonic meeting at the same time....
