What machine are you using that combo on ( laser and controller) and how do you like it? I've been looking at the IR2 and they are using uçcnc and looking at OPT laser. Thanks

I am using an Axiom AR6 Pro with the OPT laser and UCCNC controller, installation went smoothly and the instructions provided were very good.
So far no issues doing vectors and images... will do more tests on different materials over the Christmas break.

How does this compare with what is offered by Jtech other than higher wattage?

Thanks,
Mick

My only comment on the JTech is that it is 3D printed plastic, the OPT is a 6 Watt and is solid and very well made.
The power is sufficient for what I am doing at the moment.... higher wattage units can be a problem to import into Australia.

I totally agree with that. The spindle mount for the laser is printed plastic. When I complained about how much play there is between the spindle and the laser mount, they offered to send me three mounts "to see which one fit best". That's not what I call build quality. :( I finally just put a bead of hot glue around the bracket. I figured that's a reversible fix. Also, on the Axiom, the laser is either on or off, it does not support greyscale.

I have a Axiom 6 Pro and use UCCNC controller....works well for me, need to play around with the greyscale adjustment and speeds.
