Thanks for the info! and I love your "if you make the cuts with the grain it will split" Tip - that's very useful for anyone wanting to try this out!

I'm fascinated by the process of bending wood!

Nicely done Mobius!

Long ago before the internet I once found the formula for kerf bending in an old 1940's Craftsman guide. Used it many times with much success. My memory isn't what it used to be and I can't recall the formula nor find that book :D :D . Recently had a job where I needed to kerf bend again and used this online calculator...

Nice work! I used that plywood bending method to make one for a girlfriend's daughter many years ago. This year I made some for grand-nephews. Instead of bending plywood, I used slats cut with a slight angle on one side so that they follow the curve as they butt together.
