My son comes over to the UK from Texas once a year for 2 weeks and we spend a lot of time in my workshop, building things for him to take back. This year he wanted to make an electric guitar, he already owns several; but want one that we built together. Well the first attempt was a failure with the locations of the bridge in relationship to the Gibson Neck that we purchased (time restraints on making our own), so we had a second go at the body and all of the pockets and mounting holes came out perfect. He took the body and neck back to Texas with him and completed the guitar to include all of the electronics and he says it sounds great.
The body is made of Ash and Sapele.
Her are couple of pictures to include him with it at church in Ponder Tx.

Nice work. As we say in Texas - "Ain't your first rodeo is it!"
