Sometimes the quick and simple projects are the most useful...less than $40 and done in 5 hours.

That is weird...now I don't see my own linked pictures from Google+ Photos any more.
Can you guys still see them?
Just to be sure, here again attached.

I coulden’t get the first pics. Nice job on the rack. Looks pretty stable, height over footprint. Dan

Yes, it is not going to win a beauty contestdwilli9013 wrote:Very nice functional design. Thanks for sharing
But form follows function or something like that...
I kept the footprint as small as possible, given my very limited shop space. For normal rolling around it is quite stable. However, given the small 3" casters, one should not push it at high speed over a cable or similar obstacle or it may capsize.
I would have cut the slots in the vertical studs with the CNC as well but my machine is too small for that. Instead I used a circular saw and a chisel. Was probably just as fast.

Re: Space Saver Clamp Rack
Tailmaker,
Tip: you only need one profile toolpath. Just use the "Do separate last pass" option.

Re: Space Saver Clamp Rack
Thanks Steven,
I have played with that option before but noticed sometimes Vcarve (or Aspire) ignore my wishes for a separate final round, especially when cutting a spiral ramp tool path.
Did not take the time to look into the details of why and when that happens but eventually I just decided to eliminate the issue and just duplicate the tool path with reversed direction at full depth. Takes a few seconds but at least I have full control of what is happening. I guess sometimes I will look into the direct option again.
