V Carve Wall Art

Post by potzmannwoodshop »

I run a Amazon Handmade Store and sell at Eastern Market in Detroit(one of the oldest city run farmers markets in the country) I sell quite a few of these every week.

I take Reclaimed Cedar from Mid Michigan(8"x20" 1" thick) and using the shō sugi ban technique char the Cedar before dropping it on the CNC. Use the Vacuum table to hold the piece in place. cycle time is about 6min average. The look great indoors but are durable enough to withstand the outdoor environment.

I also use the same reclaimed Cedar and high quality acyrlic paints to great beautiful bursts of color to contrast the natural beauty of the wood grain of the Cedar.

You are correct. View them on my phone it is fine. Browsers at work won't allow Imgur photos. Nice pieces by the way.
