A few months ago, Andy (LLwood) posted a Birdcage Hollow Candlestand. I liked the project a lot, and was most interested in how he combined the moulding toolpath with 3D toolpaths. He described how the moulding toolpath was used to save machining time, and the 3D model was then used for projecting toolpaths onto the moulding project. http://forum.vectric.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=28730
Then Beki came along with a Clipart Bowl project...

I wanted to combine Andy's technique with the Beki Bowl. This is what happened after two hours and 15 minutes:
This was fun!

Hey Bob!
That's awesome! The moulding toolpath is brilliant for cheating 3D machining! Very impressive!
What material is that? It looks lovely!
Thank you for sharing this!

I'm a scrounger, so the top portion is from reclaimed Walnut pieces. The base is salvaged Maple from a local furniture manufacturer.
I really appreciate these free projects from you and Vectric!

Andy,
I presented this technique at our last cnc meeting in Milwaukee. It will be interesting to see the directions this may take.
Thanks again to you and Beki for starting things off.
