Made this for my Grand Daughter. She is moving into
her first apartment after graduating from nurses school.
It's not fully assembled, I just wanted to see how everthing
looked.

Nice! Thanks for sharing.
Re: Another Edge Lit Clock
Those led multi colored lights sure make it
easy to light things up.
I was very impressed with the price and how much
you can control these strips.
Thanks for the reply.

Re: Another Edge Lit Clock
Turned out nice.
Nit picker that I am, dot array is obviously off center and/or not sized large enough, causing some numbers to run into them.
Is there plexi dust on it or plastic still on, or just the wood showing through ?
Used to do alot of clocks haven't done one in a while, often used Roman numerals as well as standard.

Re: Another Edge Lit Clock
Yea, the dots needed to be in a larger circle.
They are centered, I didn't see that till I finished
engraving and wasn't going to scrap it.
I'm going to make a couple more with different
frames one of which I think I will do the roman
numerals.
It was dirt on the plexi. I was so impressed with the
lighting I took a picture and posted.
I was worried about the clock movement showing
thru so I painted the back cover black and it really
hides it well.
I ordered some thin black plastic sheets to put
directly behind the plexi if needed.
Thanks for the reply!

Re: Another Edge Lit Clock
You'll want to try plexi mirror too, looks great lit or unlit and completely hides the movement.
I also use corian for clocks, no light of course but very attractive and holds details great.
This one I left out numbers all together to make the design larger.

Great looking! I really like using corian. I've done
several litho's that turned out great.
I'll have to order some mirror plexi, sounds interesting.
