Soldier Kitchen Knife Block

Post by sharkcutup »

Here is a photo of a Soldier Kitchen Knife Block I attempted to carve yesterday.

All I need to do now is fill, sand and glue it together then add some type of finish to it.

I've always liked that design! Good job replicating it!

Thank You Michael for the kind words!!!

I will admit though that I had found a copy of the dxf files online. I just had to clean them up for my own usage when used in VCarve. The files were also originally created in Metric too so I had to convert and check all in VCarve. Of course with the files being dxf files they did not come with any toolpaths either so I had to meticulously go through and create my own toolpaths.

Thanks for sharing a picture of your project. I enjoy seeing what others are crafting with the software and their machines. I am like Michael, I have seen that and liked it. Maybe one day I will look for that dxf file and give it a try. Lots of other things on my "try" list right now though.
