police badge

Post by Rybuggy »

Hi all,
I haven't shared anything in a while so I thought I would put something up. I finished this last week for my brother to hang on his office door. the ohio seal in the center was too intricate to carve, so I lasered that first, then carved, painted, stained and clear coated. its about 12.5 tall, and 9.75 wide, made from oak, then stained with golden oak to look kind of like brass.

That's a beautiful job. Excellent use of color. I'm sure your brother will be very pleased!

I have those same knives! Great job. I have been trying to model a police badge for a friend's police challenge coin display. Not an easy thing to do.

Thanks all! the first image my brother sent me to use was pretty bad. I found better one but still had some time in cleaning it up, and getting his department name to look right.

lsvien- funny you say challenge coin display. I finished one a few weeks ago for a guy that works for the state fire marshal's office. mostly table saw work, but used the cnc for a few finishing touches
