Tube Bank

Post by Bob Jr »

Once a month, I work with a group of home schooled children. We build stuff!
Recently, I was able to get a case of 2.5 inch by 12 inch clear plastic mailing tubes. They were cheap because there were no end caps available.
Back to the topic:
I wanted to use these tubes in a project with the home schoolers. Since we only have about one hour to work, all parts were designed with Vectric software and pre-cut on my CNC. There is lots of sanding, assembly, nailing, and a little room for some creativity.
This bank is what I came up with for our next project.

Nice always great to see things repurposed. I agree children are great to work with seems the cnc really captures their interest as well as adults. Thanks for sharing.

I like this project. Easy for the kids to do and they can watch their savings pile up as a reward later!
