both models done with 4mm end mill roughing finished with 0.75 mm tbn two coats of French polish

Very pretty wood color! I've not seen Red Gum before. Does the color stay red like that as the wood ages?

Had a friend from Australia visit last summer, and he brought a couple small pieces for me.
Haven't machined any yet, but great to see what the slabs look like, and to know it holds very good detail! :)
Good to see what it finishes out like also.
Good also to see that someone else likes the nature hippie model :D

thanks all for comments those two pieces have been laying around in my sons shed for 10 to twelve years you can see the edges that haven't been machined are grey only have to sand off the top layer and it will come back to red best to
seal it after machining to make it pop its very hard to machine the hippie model took 12hrs fine shavings all most like dust most red gum gets cut up an used for firewood
