I have been making a bunch of these for gifts. The first one is about three feet high. The second one is much smaller, about 15 inches high. The smaller one was cut from one piece of wood. I am now cutting the larger one from a single piece of wood as well. It only takes two CNC bits. I merge all tool paths together except one. So running this on the machine is really easy. Only one tool change.
The Body of Christ was done on CNC as well.
On the larger cross, when I was cutting it from several pieces, I would also cut joints so that the parts snap together for easy gluing. they can only be seen from the back.
