Hey all,
Made this for our local transfer station's office. It's just a Vectric clipart Heron, carved from a old countertop. The background is 1/4" ply from a packing crate which was torch flamed and then given a turquoise wash. The frame is made from an old fence. We rubbed the bird with Watco Danish Oil to make it pop.
BTW: the transfer station is adjacent to some conservation area wetlands, so blue herons are frequent visitors.
I thought it came out pretty good, hope they like it.
Cheers,
Fred
