Finger Jointed Bowl

Postby llwood » Sat Oct 29, 2016 5:35 am

The idea for this came from a video by Frank Howarth called Wood Turned Finger Jointed Bowl. It can be seen here:

Whereas he only used the CNC to cut the "fingers," and the rest was cut on a lathe, table saw, etc., we used the CNC for everything.

Wow, that is clever, what a great idea! I've always wanted to try routing at an angle and seeing a video of this makes it seem easy. I'm sure there are many details to worry about though.
