Filled with copper.

Yes, it's solid surface and cuts very nice. It takes a nice polish relatively easy.
I have a stock-pile of various solid surface from most of the manufacturers and several colors/patterns.

I really like using solid surface, it cuts cleanly and there isn't any need for a lot of finish work.
It's absolutely flat and isn't affected by the problems that plague other materials, so it can take very fine detail.
It can be used outside without a top coat and will last almost forever. The downside is it's pretty heavy compared to
most other materials.

It's just an engraving paste. It has fine copper dust in it and should patina naturally according to
the guy I got it from.

There is a product that I want to try someday (the name eludes me at this time), but it comes in
different patina's and is applied like a paint. It's a one step process, but I remember it being
a little expensive.

googled up "engraving paste" and went into instant sticker shock, plus they seem to be geared towards laser use.
