Since my "shop" is just a double garage, mainly for storing material, tools and machines I need to keep everything mobile to roll out into the driveway for work. That is kind of a problem for my miter saw where one would like to have it on a long table with measuring fences. As a compromise I built a sturdy cart and added telescoping slides to support the material to cut with fences that can be set better than 0.03" accuracy.
All of the parts for the fences were designed in IronCad and then imported to Vcarve Pro to generate the tool paths.
This is the basic cart made from 2x4 on 3.5" casters. I have made several of this kind for various equipment including the CNC. Cost near nothing and built within an hour (the cart only, the rest took a little longer...):
Added 20" full extension drawer slides with 100 lbs rating:
Miter saw mounted:
Toggle fences and measuring tapes added:

Re: Miter Saw Cart w/ Precision Fence
Looks good to me
Is that your own design or based on something else that is available ?
I know you have used high load runners but you might still want to think about adding support legs on the extensions, especially the left one which would also help with stability when there is more weight to one side

Re: Miter Saw Cart w/ Precision Fence
I am not aware of a similar design but that does not mean it does not exist. There seems to nothing that has not been invented yet....
And I agree that this will still need a roller stand for longer and heavier material, given the relatively small footprint. But for my purposes that would be quite rare. I may also install a bottom shelf and weigh down the cart.
