Mike,
Looks great!
It looks like solid surface material?
Is the fill paint or something else?
Thanks for the files, as well.

Mike,
Not looking a gift horse in the mouth, but why is the "Back side pocket" offset to the right? I'm assuming that's for the switch plate. Shouldn't it be center on the two light switch holes?

Re: Light switch dragon cover plate.
The back side pocket is mirrored because you flip the board (side to side) to cut it. It is also cut a little oversize on the width so you don't have to be real precise when you flip the board.

Never mind, I figured it out, the switches are offset just a bit and the pocket is on the backside so it's showing in reverse mirror.

Re: Light switch dragon cover plate.
Not sure why the original plate has to be fitted into this? Is it for safety reasons?

Re: Light switch dragon cover plate.
Yes. Electrical code requires that cover plates be non flammable. Also, it reduces the chances of the wood splitting if you tighten the screws too much.bravesoul wrote:Not sure why the original plate has to be fitted into this? Is it for safety reasons?
