ebike battery mount
Something a little different, I used marine Starboard to fabricate a battery mount for my new ebike as the supplied mount was flimsy and I did not trust

Re: ebike battery mount
That looks that part Glenn BUT how much extra weight have you added
Did the material come that colour or has it been painted/sprayed?
Not the cheapest of substrates, did you buy some in especially for the job or was it a bit you had from something else you have done??

Re: ebike battery mount
Hi Martin,
Actually I had to order some cut pieces of 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2" black.... we usually buy sheets but since I declared retirement I'm trying to hide . King Starboard comes in several colors and being its just a UV stabilized polyethylene, shouldn't really be painted, very poor adhesion. Comes in about 8 earth colors (black, white, seafoam, beige, tan ect.)
It's not that expensive considering its longevity.
King color core comes in many color combinations and makes great simple outdoor signs and info plaques, cut and mount, very little labor.
As to weight, I added about a pound and a half to a 7lb lithium battery, which is probably better than dragging a $450 battery down the road by its wires, with sparks and flames pursuing
