Re: Harley Eagle Plaque
BOOMER52, Question.
Have you carved the vintage Harley bike? I tried in MDF and get allot of tear out (lines so close) wondering if you did and the bit you used / depth / etc....
I used a V30 at .04 depth, still no luck.
Thank You

Re: Harley Eagle Plaque
I've carved that file. All the vectors were v-carved with no depth limit... and I carved it in Melamine which gave me a poor man's sepia tone for a finished appearance. My sign size was 20X24 and I used a 60 v-bit for the cycle vectors... 90 deg v-bit everything else.hynes143 wrote:BOOMER52, Question.

I've never attempted to machine these PhotoV-Carve like images in MDF. I suppose the tear out is material related and possibly MDF doesn't have a cohesive enough structure. Possibly a tight grained wood such as hard maple or if not wood then Corian for a smaller sign.
Re: Harley Eagle Plaque
