llwood: Brilliant, just brilliant. And thank you so very much for the files.
Grumpysod: Well done, very well done.
This is where creative seeds are planted.
Thanks all!

It is easier to destroy than it is to create, just look at my scrap pile.

Hello Wolffie,
i am very sorry that i irritated you, and i can understand that you experts can get irritated with our newbies.
i did read the post from the beginning and i saw that the files can be cut with vcp.
i have vcp 7.5 and i downloaded the files. when i try to open the files i get a pop up message that say that the files were created with a later version vcp 8, so i guess i won't be able to cut this beauty.
once again sorry for my ignorance.
hope you have a safe and happy day
regards
jamore

Re: Butterfly Box
#jamore03,
I will export this to DXF files and will try to explain what each cut is but give me some time, my day job can be very demanding...

Jamore,
VCP8 is a horse of a different color:)
WELL worth upgrading to, even if only for the 3D library!

Hello scottp55
as i said in my note that i am beginner in this game and i am learning every day.
i already set money aside to buy upgrade to vcp 8, but with the exchange rate from
SA rand to Dollar is to high at this moment in time. I just cannot afford to pay 13.5 times that you people pay to upgrade.
so until then i will have to work with vcp 7.5
thanks for your note

I truly understand your painful dilemma with regards to the exchange rate.
I downloaded the files thanks to Andy’s (llwood) generosity; I have Aspire 8 and can provide the files for you in DXF or EPS format. You decide.

Thanks for the files.
This is a great project and I think lots of these will be made.
I know my grandbaby's will love them.

Re: Butterfly Box
At the request of a friend, Marty just created a two-tone version of the butterfly box. Maple and Walnut. The maple is thin enough on the wings (lids) that the vcarved pattern exposes the darker wood. Gives it an interesting look. Well done, Dad!
