More Praise for VCP8!

Postby Mobius » Sat Apr 25, 2015 3:39 am

I have to say I'm loving the upgrade, and I really love the 'Project onto 3D' button. I made myself a little sign for my Farmer's Market booth, constructed from reclaimed maple flooring and some scrap mahogany for the stand.

And here are a few other projects I've completed recently:

V-carved laminated cedar outdoor sign, my first attempt at tiling

An edge lit requested by my wife. Utilizes scans of my daughter's feet for the V. Not super happy with how the frame turned out (too much glue and some stain bleed through), but I learn something new with every project.

And another one inspired by my daughter. A keepsake box made from maple and purpleheart. The inlay is mahogany lettering, with a cherry and purple heart orchid, my most successful Vinlay to date. The finger joints were also made on the CNC using Fingermaker (Tailmaker) software.

Thanks for looking!
