Putting the finishing touches on a red oak panel

Post by Rcnewcomb »

My feedrate was 2ips on a Shopbot PRT Alpha. The "fuzzies" were due to a slightly dull bit. I was able to clean them up by hand in under 5 minues. I v-carved this piece of red oak with a 0.5" V60 bit from CMT (3 flutes). The flat area was cleared down to a maximum of 1/8 inch with a 0.125" downspiral bit from Onsrud.
