Kenworth truck v-carve
These parts are designed for 1-1/2" wheels.
The two small holes in the bottom of the trailer are to allow excess glue to excape when installing the axle pegs. You will need to make your own tongue for the dolly, cut a slot in the dolly and attach the tongue with a pin. Toy truck & trailer

Just cut your own board for the flatbed trailer and glue it to the frame. The two small holes in the bottom of the trailer are to allow excess glue to excape when installing the axle pegs. Re: Kenworth truck v-carve
Dale,
First of all I really enjoyed your presentation at this year's Vectric user conference. I took away a lot of good ideas.
Secondly I was just asked if I would help with a toy car project "Toys for Kids" here in Arizona. They make toys all year long and give them to kids that are in the hospital and other situations. It's too late for me to help with Christmas this year but I plan on helping all through the year. I remembered the cool toy cars that you posted and have downloaded all of them that I could find.
So thank you for being so generous with your time and all the wonderful cars.

Here is a new fender assembly for the Kenworth truck. It is much easier to install. Dale

Re: Kenworth truck v-carve
When I drove professionally, I found the Kenworth to be my favorite rig to drive. Now I can have a wood version.
Thanks for posting the files. I think it will be a fun project.

Re: Kenworth truck v-carve
thanx very much for the files.
I copied and pasted the trailer and fenders into one file and then saved that so everything is in one file.
Very nice job on these. I will try making some for our toy runs this next Christmas.

Snap-On, I hope you realize the body and fenders are of different thickness materials. Dale

Re: Kenworth truck v-carve
Mr. Dale,
Thanks for the excellent truck!!
Question - you said 1 1/2" wheels, the 1 1/2" dual wheels at Casey's say they need a 7/32 axle hole
but in your crv file you only make a 3/16 hole, do the axles fit or do you use a different axle?

Re: Kenworth truck v-carve
You need to change the axle holes to match the axle pegs you purchase, and/or drill out the wheel holes. I prefer a 1/64th inch clearance so the wheels don't wobble so I usually drill out the wheels and use then next size larger axle peg; such as using an 11/32" axle peg for wheels drilled with a 11/32" hole for a 5/16" axle peg (drill the hole 1/64" larger).
