That is really cool, Yes i'd be interested in the files if they'd ever come availiable.
The kids has some of those puzzles, but they only stand about 8 - 12 inches, Maybe I should see if they have the individual peices in the instructions to scan and import to vcw or pw

Good job...

Attached is the VCW file for the Dino from CNCZone that Riven machined for his children.

This file is setup for 3/8" thick material and requires a 39" x 27" sheet size.

The toolpaths are for a 1/4" dia End Mill and will cut each shape in 2 passes - modify as required.

Let me know if you would like to cut the Dino from thicker / thinner / metric material
and I'll send you the scaling instructions.

I'll post a Video Tutorial in a day or two.

Well I hacked out a Dinosaur. Due to some parts getting munched up by the spindle cutter when they came free i had to cut about 8 replacement parts.
One more reason for tabbing hint hint :) other wise Great fun and even the misses thinks its Awesome.

The video and pictures below show the Dino being routed from 3/8" (9mm) plywood on a Pacer router.

This router has Vacuum Table that makes holding the material very easy. The cutter was a 1/8th (3mm) single flute, downcut and it took approximately 30 minutes to cut out all the pieces.

Model size

Is there an easy way to determine the size or height of the model? This will be a great gift for my grandson at Christmas. Many thanks.
