Re: bass master plaque
Well Done Tony!
It looks like two different pieces of wood. Can you tell us how you finished this?

Re: bass master plaque
I did the bass out of oak in cut3d and then impoted the model in vcarve. Figured out my lettering, did the toolpaths and glued the bass on the pine plaque after the lettering was carved out.

Re: bass master plaque
Very well done, I like how the grain pattern came out.

Re: bass master plaque
Very clean design and execution. I especially like the oak grain in the bass.

It looks great Tony! Thanks for sharing!!
I would check your table for level though as it appears that you have deeper cuts on the left side of the pine plaque.

Re: bass master plaque
Mike, the reason is I sanded the edge too much, thats why it came out that way.

Re: bass master plaque
I wasn't busting your chops - just wanted to be sure, Tony!
One of my earliest signs I carved in PVC for a sign shop. It was roughly 4' x 6' and took about 6 hours to run (Lots of small type). Looked great when it came off the machine, white on white, but when they put the paint into the letters... YIKES! A learning experience for me!
