A completly newbie guitar cnc wannabe maker just arrived

Hi All, been an interesting read this thread, I'm in the process of modelling a Randy Rhoads V as a through body neck. I'm interested to hear how people are handling the truss rod arrangement, obviously the fretboard could be made separately and glued on after (which is what I'm planning at the moment) but would be good to know if there is something obvious I'm missing.

The basses and guitars I've ever done with style througneck used two methods.
1 I did gluing the fingerboard before gluing laterias body. In this case I let the finguerboard ready to receive the frets and the radius done.

The second I made the first cut and glue the body and neck and later I glued the fingerboard. I liked the first method, but it depends on design.

I think in the case of the model of Randy, can do the neck first completely. Then glue the sides is interesting because the neck begins at the end of the body and nothing disturbs.

The body may be glued to the ready cut and thus saves exploiting the wood perhaps for another of the same model. In this case becomes a jig for bonding and two small tabs on each side of the center of the body.

Any idea when your video will be available for using Aspire for a guitar design and build. I'm just learning the software and would be very interested in a tutorial! I've watched your video samples and think they would be very helpful to me.

Finally managed to finish the Les Paul!

I'm trying to finish my web shop, but this hard because organize and make clear to the client that is challenging. Not only put the products. Should have a clarity.

Thanks for the reply Alex. Yes, I've watched most of those videos but they do not help me with my project. What I'd like to do is purchase your complete video package so that I can actually watch and follow along to learn the process. I learn much better with hands on than by watching videos. Must bhe the age.

Glad to see the site maturing. A couple of questions!
In your demos the background is music. Will your training videos have narration to accompany the lesson or is it a follow the screen only?
In the demos, the work is being accomplished at warp speed and is really hard to try and follow. Are the purchased videos slower and easier to follow?
If one purchases only the videos do you supply example files for training purposes?
Once a purchase is made, is the material downloaded from your site or do you supply a DVD?
Sorry, more questions than I thought!

well, today I had no complaints of problems with understanding the material.
The video that maybe 4x faster than normal. The video has no narration, no music it has subtitles. I forgot to make that clear in the presentations of videos of demonstrations.
Only videos are really just video files. The version with guitar is the guitar full video.

Those are beautiful Alex! I love the one-of shapes. I know nothing about electric guitars : does the outline shape of a guitar affect the sound?

Yes, practically all affect the sound.
When you do not need a great guitar for professional use, you can discard it, but when there is a greater requirement guitar, many ways make a difference.

I am preparing the site for Christmas. Be ready until later.
