[quote="sylvan356"]I purchased some of Alex's work and, after examining the files, have to say that it is exemplary. Great work! And what is really nice is you can see exactly how he modeled the instruments which is very helpful in my learning to use the software. Thanks, Alex![/

I have bought 4 models and only one (les paul) has any extra images to helping is the best so far, the Prs type model has a possible alignment issue, the last fret alignment mark on the back of the neck doesn't line up with the last fret on the front of the neck.
The modelling on all 4 is baked into a single component, not sure if has to be, but there isn't much you can do with it afterwards, I might be wrong.

Some of them have a fretboard cut directly into the neck front, that's ok for the start type guitar, no easy to adjust to add a truss rod.
The SG type model has a weird shape on the back of the headstock, and due to the lack of my knowledge on how to correct it, the SG neck is not useable for now.

I guess the two biggest problems I have is that there isn't any consistency between the models, some have bits of info but know here near enough to fix problems or make changes, the modelling components are all backed into a single component,.
The other issue is The customer service.

So far the les paul and start seem to be ok, but I haven't really got stuck into them yet.

Hi John, this is just a reference that can be ignored. Is just a reference to you know where is the fret localization. Just do what is in front of the file and do what is behind. Even 0.5mm initial or final position (for all frets together) was moved this would not be a nightmare.
Use more of your feelings and common sense.

I'll list alguas things.

1 - First I have a sampler for evaluation

2 - I have several videos that show how to work my files.

3 - Using your experience on Aspire, you could easily be machined only the fretboard. There is no need to make a special file only for the fretboard, but even so I did especially for you.

The Truss Rod also. I did two crooked old models that hardly anyone uses. As trussrods are different, I can not do all. The trussrods are very easy to make and just draw two or three lines and ready.
Just like the fretboard, just use your knowledge of Aspire and off unnecessary layers and make the machining direction of the lines of the neck.
Too easy.

4 - Finally, I missed reading my blog more carefully. As the notes are not faithful copies. The goal is to offer some material for beginners in CNC. With the material it is possible to use it to adapt their models. That's my goal with my guitars. I think I'm offering something fair in quality and value. Others offering identical guitars and tutorials have their values up to 3 times.
This is to be fun and not traumatic.
Also note that I offer no support.
I take into account that the person who is buying have read and understood the terms.

Terminating.
I found a PRS and Les Paul guitar that some time ago I was starting to make an identical copy.
As a lot of work to do and the unsatisfactory sales value.

But I commit to send you copies of this PRS and Les Paul so I finished.

Thank you.

Alex, Can you explain this better?

If you want to machining the round edges, you
must calcuc toolpath with Round corners element on.
Remenmer of the set the "Material Size".
On Aspire 8, you can do a block surface with 35mm
- 1.378 in using "marge".

Might be easier to type in your native language and I can translate it.
I'm trying to figure out how you did the rounded corner machining.

What is "you must calcuc toolpath with Round corners element on"?

What model is?
Then I can answer you better... buuttt

1) I personally never made the round edges on CNC. I prefer to use a electric router (hand). Easer and faster.
2) With Modeling Tools opened you´ll see diferent elements turn oned and off. Depending while Toolpath you want to use, you must turn on or turn off and sure set again the Material Size puting the surface on the right place.
3) """On Aspire 8, you can do a block surface with 35mm - 1.378 in using "marge"""" --- I need to know what´s the model. I also not understood it!

Well.. I don´t understand your doubts.
It´s clear that if you recalculate the rouding toolpaths without body surface there (turnoff the body 3d) will not make not round edges.
Maybe better I don´t wrote nothing there because it is very obvous.
