White Marlin Clock

Post by glenninvb »

Here is a little 6"x6" clock I made my wife for her office. 1/4" aluminum disc.

And yes she likes to catch marlin 8) , I put her name on the front base as well.

very nice. did you put a clear coat or something on the aluminum? I was thinking of doing something like that except with a golfer image, and noticed the nice finish on the aluminum.

Thanks,

cnc4me,
I didn't do the best job polishing this although it looks better than the photo shows.
I've found 6061 polished holds up very good (inside) with just a coat of protective silicon or in this case I used Novus cleaner. It keeps fingerprints from showing.

For good polishing DA with 220gt. then wet 400-600-800 and buff with compound and you will have a mirror.
