drag knife gadget error

drag knife gadget error

I have been trying to use the drag knife gadget for the first time and was trying to cut this out but keep getting error message , does any one have any ideas? thanks for any help Don

Ungroup your vectors (Select and press the U key) and it should work then.

Thanks Adrian for the quick reply and that did make it produce the tool path. how ever after doing the toolpath and what I get for the 3d view is something I have never seen before. I posted a screen shot. as you zoom in and out the lines multiply and or decrease????. I tried rebooting and did a virus scan and it comes up like this again. Thanks and have a nice day

I have seen that behavior before in SolidWorks and other vector generating software. Most always attributed to a graphics card issue. However I have only had this occur on really large files.

thanks for your reply I went on another computer and the preview was normal . so I will have to look into another graphics card if it persists. thank you Don
