Hi all,
Should I be able to preview the selected chamfer toolpath once I've created it?
I'm using VCarve Pro version 8.0
I'll upload a photo of what it looks like when I set the chamfer to 65 deg angle, 12mm deep, using 12mm endmill. There seems to be no chamfer and there's a strange cut in one of the corners.
What am I doing wrong?
Many thanks in advance for any info.....
Can't get Chamfer Gadget to work.
Re: Can't get Chamfer Gadget to work.
OK - an update.
I've used a 2mm ballnose and it's looking better, but the preview is showing a small vertical bit at the top. Any ideas why?
By the way - the wood depth set is 12mm and I've asked it to chamfer from 0mm to 12mm.
I'm wanting the chamfer all the way to the bottom without that straight top bit..... ?
Plus from the photo I'll upload (zoomed in x-axis) it looks kind of skewed...?
I'm sure I'm missing something obvious.. Could anyone point me in the right direction please?
Thanks in advance.

That picture has been enlarged too much. All you can see is pixellated edges.

Hi RDPorter,
We think we have fixed this problem now. If you send your particular file along with the settings you were using to support@vectric.com we will be able to confirm that we have fixed your issue. We will then get a new gadget installer up on the website as soon as possible.
Cheers,

Re: Can't get Chamfer Gadget to work.
Hi
I am trying to use the chamfer gadget.
There is a problem that I have set the material depth at 30mm and set the chamfer depth at 30mm but the toolpath generated is 40mm deep which will cut into the spoil board.
I am using an endmill 3/8". if I use a 12mm Ball nose it still cuts below the material but interestingly not as much, only 33mm cut.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
