Looks an interesting and possibly useful gadget, but I can't seem to select what (to me) seems to be the obvious tool to do the job - namely a 'V' bit. Looks like I can only select end mills - all the others being greyed out.
Am I missing something here?

The idea of the chamfer gadget is that it creates a chamfer of a specific angle without the need for a tool with the same matching angle as would be the case if you used a V-bit. It does that by creating a toolpath that machines the chamfer using an end-mill or round nose bit.
If you want to do a chamfer with a v-bit then you can use the standard profile toolpath.
If you want to do a chamfer with a v-bit then you can use the standard profile toolpath.
