Aspire 8 - Now Released!

We are very proud to announce a major new release for our flagship product, Aspire V8. There have been a significant number of enhancements and new features made to the new version.

The Clip Art included with the program has had a further 150 Vector Art 3D models ($1500 value) added to it, bringing the total number of Clip Art files to over 1400. Powerful new drawing tools like the Vector Texture function make it easy to create unique wave based textured panels and realistic grain backgrounds. To make 3D layout simpler and more intuitive you can now access component editing functions directly in the 3D view. There are also improvements to sculpting and smoothing for 3D shapes and an attractive shadow shading option to further enhance the rendering of the 3D model. For the toolpath side of the program there are a large number of additions to many of the machining strategies to increase flexibility and finish quality.

To find out about upgrade eligibility and pricing, read a more in depth description of all the new features, watch videos demonstrating them and to access the Free Trial download for the new version, please visit out What’s New in Aspire 8 Page.

All existing Aspire customers should now have received an email regarding the new release and how to upgrade. If you have not seen this message then please check your spam folder for an email received from “updates@vectric.com” – if you are still unable to find it then please contact support@vectric.com and let them know.

We are planning to release VCarve Pro 8 within the next two weeks, please look out for another announcement once that becomes available.

VectorArt 3D - Announcement!

Vector Art 3D will see some major restructuring over the next few months which will directly affect the selection of models offered for purchase. From the end of March 2015 they will no longer be licensing models from some of their artists which will result in the removal of around 400 models from the store. This also means they will no longer be selling the disc-based 3D Collections or the Design and Carve Disc products after that date. The discs remain available for purchase until March 31st, 2015 with some very special pricing to clear the remaining stock.

For detailed information on which models are being removed and the disc sale-pricing please click the link: http://www.vectorart3d.com/index.cfm/March2015.htm
