Project of the Month - Steampunk Sleigh

Post by Stephanie Downing »

Check out our first FREE Christmas Project of 2019 courtesy of Michael Tyler

The Steampunk Santa Sleigh features a unique pseudo-futuristic Victorian-era style and is a very special Christmas decoration for display as a holiday table centrepiece or anywhere else in your home!

The sleigh has three rockets (powered by magic elf dust) so Santa can make his deliveries with or without, his flying reindeer. You know, just in case the reindeer get sick or otherwise incapacitated!

Get into the Christmas spirit early and download this cool project now from your V&CO account!

A most excellent design, Michael. Thank you!!!
And to think....Im just getting around to cutting your original Christmas Sled.
I think my Vectric "to do list" is now officially longer than my "honey do" list. :)
Joe

I have a chip on my shoulder....several more in my hair and lots more all over my shop floor.

You’ve outdone yourself with this one Michael. What kid of 77 years doesn’t like gear trains, rack and pinions, jet engine pods etc, etc. I can hardly wait to start cutting this one

I couldn't agree more about out doing yourself Michael.
The design alone must have taken you a lot of time. The detail programming and cutting is incredible to say nothing about the painting. Wow!!
I want to make it and send it to you to paint...
It just gets better and better.
I always look forward to your projects even if I don't make them.

Mark

Finished cutting all the parts today and now I’m ready, as Mark said, to send them to you for painting
Now if we just had your address......

I’ll post pictures when I get it finished. (Hopefully before Christmas but no guarantee)

Thank you for posting, Ralph! Your sled looks fantastic and the “Christmas 2019” carve in the bottom is a GREAT addition! Wish I had thought of that!!

First time poster, long time reader, lousy photographer.

Here’s my Steampunk Santa Sleigh entry, finished just in time for Christmas. It was a fun project but I struggled a bit with the detail painting as you can see.

Thanks Michael, and thanks RalphPitz – (I stole your dating idea).
