Yummy Cake Pedestal

Post by Stephanie Downing »

The Yummy Cake Pedestal project is the perfect perch for your delicious cakes! Great for house-warming, wedding, birthday, and holiday gift-giving!

All layout vectors were created using only the Vectric Vcarve Pro software. Main features used were the Trim Tool, Offset Vector, the Circular Copy Array tool and the two-sided feature for the shelf file.

Click the link below to see a video on how Michael Tyler has created the project from start to finish...

Thanks for the heads-up on this project! I can always use more cake stands and it might be fun to gift the customer with the stand to remember the event...

Fun project! First attempt using VCarve. Was unsure how things would go, so used MDF. May not hold up long, but turned out good, and learned a lot! Now to convince the wife to put it to good use :D

Thanks
Garrett

I like the inlay with the lighter wood.
