This Rustic Welcome Door Plaque will add homespun charm to the entrance for your house or holiday cottage! A simple silhouette of a cabin and the vertical welcome board will help to greet vistors and make them feel at home. The heavily-grained texture is entirely vector-based. Sets of irregular vectors were automatically generated with the “Create Repeating Vector Texture Tool” in VCarve (also included in Aspire).
Two groups of vectors were profiled-on with a v-bit. Each vector group was set at different depths to yield the rough and weathered appearance. Very effective and quicker to machine than a 3D texture.
Available for VCarve & Aspire 8.5 Users.
The finished dimensions of this project are approximately 7.5" (190mm) wide x 25” (635mm) tall x 1.25" (38mm) thick.

Now THAT is a great modification! Excellent job!
Funny, I really like the photo of the welcome plaque before the letters are glued in. Gives the plaque a sort of whimsy that I like very much! I wonder if anyone will do one like that?!

Wouldn't be all that hard to do. You should give it a try.mtylerfl wrote:Now THAT is a great modification! Excellent job!

Re: Free Project - Rustic Welcome Sign
My own copy of this sign. I both v-carved and then lasered all the v-carve tool paths instead of painting them. I like the look. Ambrosia Maple for the house and cedar for the sign. Thank you for the design! I reduced it a little in size but didn't change anything else.
