Dear Michael Tyler
Pretty please
When you make your monthly projects, could you please provide metrics in brackets?
This old brain makes too many mistakes by forgetting to convert

Re: Dear Michael Tyler
Michael is on a cruise.... after you load the file go to the job size with the job position set to inches, go back to the same screen and check the mm box and it will change the dimensions to mm. At least it has worked for me. Dale

Re: Dear Michael Tyler
And in any of the input fields you can enter the imperial value followed by *m= to get the metric value entered.

Lucky Michael.
I do know how to do this but many others who use metric seems to be stumped by this

Re: Dear Michael Tyler
I should have added that when you change the job size & position to mm after loading the inch file the entire job will be mm. Dale

Re: Dear Michael Tyler
Well, sometimes that is not successful.
I have had instances where the measurements were changed but the numbers weren't.
f.x.
230 mm becomes 230 inches or 13 inches become 13 mm

Re: Dear Michael Tyler
You cannot usually convert immediately. Import the job in inches, and choose OK.
Go back to "set job and dimensions", and change to MM.
It has to do with the way memory in Windows saves the immediate data.

Re: Dear Michael Tyler
You don't need to import a job that is in different units. Just load it as any normal file via File Open or by double clicking and then change the units to whatever is needed.

Re: Dear Michael Tyler
As Adrian says, I load the file, no need to import. Dale

Re: Dear Michael Tyler
Thanks everyone for helping Wolfie with the inch/mm conversion process while I was away! Looks like all the bases were covered just fine - easy to convert with a couple mouse clicks.

We had a wonderful time. Disney sure knows how to create a great cruise experience for both children and adults! Great fun for all. There were seven of us ...me, my youngest son, my eldest son and his wife and son (my grandson), and two friends of my eldest son. My wife Cheryl was originally booked on this cruise (we made reservations many months ago), but she decided to attend her third semester of school in Israel towards another Master's degree (this one is "Eastern Cultures and Religions"). She already has her Master's Certificate for that, but needs one more semester after this one to complete the actual degree. I "swapped in" my youngest son to come on the cruise with me in her stead. I leave for Israel to meet up with Cheryl in just three weeks! I'll be with her there for a little over a couple weeks, then return home just before Thanksgiving to be with the rest of the family during the holiday. Cheryl will finish the semester soon after that and return home in December (thank goodness!).
So, Cheryl missed being on this cruise so much, she already booked another for May of next year! We will fly to England a couple days early, have a visit with the Vectric team (which I am really looking forward to), then hop on the Queen Mary II to float back to New York. I am being VERY careful not to have anything interfere with attending the Vectric UG for 2016!! I am still going through withdrawals!

Re: Dear Michael Tyler
Michael your life seems to be as busy as ours. Makes it difficult to get anything made.
Debbie will only be home 10-days in November. Two thirds work related; tax seminar in California, Customer Relations in Ecuador, Peru, and Columbia {her 4th trip there - all work no play} then both of us to Kona for Thanksgiving.
2016 we already have flights scheduled for Cosa Rica in February, Fresno CA for Easter.
Debbie is usually gone somewhere once or twice every month [all for work] from coast to coast and in between.

Re: Dear Michael Tyler
I had no idea Debbie (and you) traveled so much! Too bad about Kona for Thanksgiving. I stayed somewhere on or near Kailua Bay back in the 80's. Beautiful!
