Thanks to all who make it possible for the free monthly projects. I used acrylic crafts paints to finish the project.

Yes, you can make and sell the finished clocks. Hope you sell bunches of 'em!

I have Cut2d and kind of like this clock. Would it be possible to use Cut2D to cut this out? I don't see anything fancy that you would need to have cut out. It looks like everything is pockets except the gear teeth.
So could I just load the file in Cut2D and make a few alterations to get it to work??

Thanks
John

Hi John,

If you have Cut2D V1.5 they will load fine, just double check all the toolpath setups for your machine.

If you don't have Version 1.5, you can upgrade free.

So these "free" files will be able to open in Cut2S v1.5? If so I'll have to give the Clock a try that is a cool project. THANKS!
HAPPY CUTTING

Hi Mike,

The projects are targeted for VCarve Pro users, but Cut2D will open the same .crv files as long as they don't contain an operation only found in VCP. If so, the results can vary. There are no guarantees, but it is worth a try.

I can not open this file. It says also for Aspire 3.5 or higher. I tried to open in Aspire 4 and
Get a error code 102 for V-Carve pro 7.5 or higher. How can I open these files. I would like to make this project.

Hi Phil,

You will need to update your Aspire from V4 to V4.5
To do this you just need to run Check for updates from the Help menu.

I'm just curious why they would say 3.5 or higher.

Hi Phil,

I just tested...all those files are opening fine for me using Aspire 3.5 and VCP 6.5. These were the current versions when I created the project, so they should open for you. I have no idea why they are not. Again, they are opening just fine at my end, using the older software versions.

Perhaps you can contact Vectric Tech support so they can investigate this for you.
