Free Project - The Shoe Butler

Post by StuartH »

We're happy to announce this month's FREE Aspire project created by Michael Tyler for Vectric.

http://www.vectric.com/WebSite/Vectric/ ... butler.htm

This customizable storage box provides an appealing location to keep your shoe care supplies,
with a rotating up/down handle and two dowel-hinged lids for convenient access to either side.

This project is compatible with Aspire 3 (or greater).

Thanks for another great project - I think that all of them have been tremendous gifts....

But.... I have to ask, why is this one only in Aspire?
What about us guys with VCarve Pro ?

The projects alternate (mostly). One month is VCarve the next month is Aspire only.

I understand the alternation, but is there anything in this design that requires Aspire?

Hi Paul,

Yes, this design required Aspire due to method the edge "roundovers" were done on many of the components. These roundovers are raster carves performed by a 1/4" Ball Nose, and were created by using the two-rail sweep function in Aspire.
