Hello!
When I have a circle in VCarve, then the resulting G-Codes are for circles in my machine file (G02/G03).
But when I mill a Circle and use Ramping -> Spiral then the G-Codes are made of hundreds of small linear segments (G01).
But spiral circles can be done with G02/G03.
Is this a normal behavior in VCarve? Or is it a problem of the Post Processor.
Thanks for any help
Jan
No Circles in Code when using ramping spiral
Re: No Circles in Code when using ramping spiral
Hello Jan,
This is correct - The postprocessor will not output arc moves
for spiral movement where the tool is moving simultaneously
in all 3 axes.

Re: No Circles in Code when using ramping spiral
Hello Tony,
thanks for your fast response!
Do you think this will be changed in the future?
Arc moves with Circles can be defined with normal G02/G03 Syntax.
So there is no reason to generate 400 lines of code instead of 3 lines.
But it is only a matter of time and filesize. The result is allways perfect.
Thanks Jan
