Thank you
I was talking to manufacturer about purchase of machine with a side rotary and 180 degree rotating head.
My concern is that I use Vcarve pro but it does not have postprocessor for Syntec controller (Rotary axis).
I asked the manufacturer about the postprocessors and they told me, because the machine is 4 axis, it I did not need postprocessors ??
I know I can produce gcode for rotary but I am not sure I can produce code for 4th axis with vcarve.
My take on it is , with the side rotary, it is not true 4 Axis, just 3 Axis with y axis modified to rotary axis ?
Adding the 180 deg rotating spindle makes it true 4 axis ? Thus needing the 6mb controller ?
Do I need postprocessors ?

For any of you that have the same question
Here is what I have found out researching:

Sent email to Vectric ( No answer yet )
Does not need PP (FALSE) it does and 5 axis does !
I can not generate gcode for rotary with vcarve or ArtCam (no PP)
Rotary IS 4th axis.
I will have to purchase custom PP
or the possibility of editing another close PP
(still researching that) ??
Hope this helps someone else

Did you have a look at the Help menu, item "Post Processor Editing Guide"?
Best regards

I have a rotary atc with a syntec processor. Has anyone had any luck with a post processor listed in vectrics ?
Any help would be appreciated.

I can tell you that you are asking a hard one here.
They will tell you that the Syntec system is so programmable that each one needs it's own custom pp.
Which cam program are you using?

The gcode atc works until it get to the line in the code M0
Then it stops, i can hit cycle start and it will continue until it gets to the next tool change and same problem.
I tried editing the processor deleting the M0 and it didn't work

M00 in Syntec is dwell time. Is the gcode showing M0 or M00 ?
I am new to gcode also ?
I know there is a time set for dwell in the parameters.

1. M00: Program dwell When CNC executes M00 command, the spindle will stop to rotate, feed will dwell, cutting oil will stop, it is convenient to size check and compensate for operator; We can specify the
program is dwell or not by “M00 cancel switch” on the interface.

2. M01: Selective program dwell M01 is similar to M00;but M01 is controlled by "selective
stop";when the switch is ON, M01 is effective, program dwell;
When the switch is OFF, then M01 is not effective.

Hope this helps

G04: Dwell Command

X: specific time (decimal point permitted 0.001~
9999.999s)
P: specific time (decimal point not permitted)

Description: By specifying a dwell, the execution of the next block is delayed by the specified time. In addition, a dwell can be specified to make an exact check in the cutting mode.
Program example:
G04 X2500;//delay 2.5 sec
G04 X2.5;//delay 2.5 sec
G04 P2500;//delay 2.5 sec
G04 P2.5;//delay 2 sec (decimal point not permitted)
