Aspire v8 on a ShopSABRE 4896

Post by Al Allison »

Hi,
I am working with a ShopSABRE 4896. When I output from the VisualMill post processor all is OK. When I output from Aspire 8, selecting ShopSabre post processor, loading the file to the CAM (Mach3, I think), it complains and will not run. VisualMill output has spindle start and a z value on nearly every line, Aspire has neither. Am I missing a setting somewhere?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Unless things have changed a ShopSabre would be using WinCNC processor. You would then use ShopSabre(inch-lines-arcs) for the post processor which does in fact list each axis on each line. The post processor that I use on a ShopSabre I have modified to start and stop the spindle and vacuum.

Larry,

Thank you very much for the reply. I have since checked and it is WinCNC. I must have selected the wrong post-processor. This is a machine from work, so I will have to wait till Monday to try it out.

Will you please give me a bit more guidance on what i need to do to work the spindle control in?

Thank you very much for your assistance.

Go to the post processor editing guide found in Aspire drop down help menu. You will have to add the appropriate M code for the output that you want to turn it on and off.
