masterwood 416K post

Post by tusong200 »

Any chance of a post that will work with a Masterwood Project 416K machine?? I see "Masterwood arcs" and "masterwood 316" on the drop-down list.

Have you tried the Masterwood Arcs one? Looks like a fairly standard Post Processor that should work unless Masterwood have radically changed their control language between their machines.

No chance to try it. Machine is in storage and I'd like to know that we can get it to work with Aspire before we move it to a new location. It's a 4 axis machine...that may be another problem.

Hi
Does anybody have a postprocessor for masterwood. 416 k?
Im trying with pp for a 317 machine And on screen all ok, but when routing the arcs are inverted And the lines mirrored.
Thanks

Wow - that almost looks like point to point programming whereas each point is calculated on each block and is referenced back to the machine coordinate system on each block.

I would NOT want to g-code that machine by hand programming.

It is posted out in variables and each block is performing a mathematical calculation using the variables to reestablish a new value for the variable. It doesn't really matter what the geometry is, it seems that is the way the machine runs code.

I don't see it as a problem. If the machine runs the code that way - then that is the way it runs.

I write a lot of code at work and I do a lot of what I call "parametric" programming in g-code. I recognize the variable driven stuff - that's all.

Hi,for the ones that download the postprocessor please not that its necessary to correct the speed of tools by hand.
