Laser Control

Post by laserpilot »

Hi Guys,
Can anyone tell me how to make V carve pro install the correct commands to turn a laser on and off in Mach3 please.

I believe it can be done with the Z axis or using M3, M5 commands or M10P1 / M11P1 or E1P0 / E1P1 commands.

ANY HELP APPRECIATED, thanks.

Have you looked at the Post Processor editing guide on the VCarve Help menu? I don't know what actual commands you would need to control the laser but the guide will explain how and where to add them.

I have a pp I use to turn a plasma on and off with a delay for pierce. Send me your email and I will send it to you. It uses m08 but could be changed to m03 but you would want to change your spindle spin up in Mach.

Can someone walk me through this please.

I have read the PP help menu on VCP. Result: NO HELP Maybe its just my thick head.

For instance, how do I tell the PP where and when to put these commands. Which command should I use? M3/5, or M10P1 / M11P1 or E1P0 / E1P1 or even Mist control.

I AM SO CONFUSED  A huge thanks for all those trying to help on this.

HUGE thanks to Dclifton for sending me the PP. Thats what I needed all along.

With the right PP its super easy. Well fairly easy at least. Only problem is Don's PP is imperial and that seems to be causing me some issues. Does anyone here have the metric version. As that's all we work in here down under.

Thanks. Warren.

OOOK, how does one view ones PM's on this forum. I can't find your PM Greg. I clicked on Control Panel up top and then on Private Message.... only to be told I can't send PM's.

Well I don't WANT to send one ...I want to READ one.

Any help guys... Sorry for another dumb-ass question!

At the top between where it says FAQ and Search you should have a link that says "n new messages" where n is the number of messages you have. Click on that and it will take you directly to the private messages.

You can get there by the route you were taking as well but you have to click on the Inbox link on the left to get out of the Compose new message form which is where you got to.

Yeah I did.

It is still sitting in my out box, which means that you have not retrieved it yet. :)

All it said was, PM me your email address and I will send you a PP and info for the laser.
